Branchwater is honored to welcome Master Distiller Hans Reisetbauer to the farm for an intimate consumer tasting of his Austrian schnapps, his adjacent brand, Truman Vodka, and our Branchwater spirits for which Hans consults.

Hans and Kevin have been friends for over twenty years, and Kevin learned distillation from Hans directly. In fact, the two Christian Carl 330L copper pot stills at Branchwater were Hans’ original stills, which were retrofitted for steam and shipped to the Hudson Valley 4 years ago. Our shared philosophy of respect, partnership, and commitment to quality inspire every bottle we produce. 

In approach, Reisetbauer and Branchwater spirits are distilled with the same precision and care; the differences in our spirits are found in the types of grains and fruits we produce and the terroir in which they are grown.

Truman was developed by Hans as a premium sipping Vodka for the U.S. market. It is made from 100% certified organic wheat and Alpine Spring water from the heart of Austria.
